DIPLOMA IN MONITORING AND EVALUATION, ACCOUNTABILITY AND LEARNING

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) are part of everyday programme management which have been identified to be critical success factors of all projects. Funding organizations are increasingly seeking more accountability for the funds they provide to development projects. Therefore, without an effective MEAL system, it would be difficult to track progress, discover unplanned effects of programmes, make judgments, or judge the impacts the undertaken project will have on the target audience. Thus https://humanitarianstudies.org/ has developed an Online Diploma Programme in MEAL that contains learning modules that have been developed to help development and relief professionals measure their project progress and impacts more effectively. This programme consists of four modules which are designed to address the needs of busy professionals and have been made accessible through an e-learning platform. All topics have been created through the assembling of learning assets that include illustrations, interactive activities, text, downloadable resources and references and knowledge checks.

The program provides students with competencies in the following areas:

• Monitoring and evaluation methods

• Quantitative and qualitative research methods for field-based monitoring and evaluation

• Historical contexts and critiques of monitoring and evaluation

• Innovations and the practice of impact evaluation for organizational learning

  The program will include opportunities to learn monitoring and evaluation techniques that are

connected to specific sectors and are connected to the values of the organizations, including

health, economic development, gender, youth, environment, education, and government

  Assignments: There are four assignments (continuous assessment tests), research paper and one examination to be offered at the end of the course. Assignments account for 40%, research paper counts for 30%, while the Final Exam accounts for 30% of the total mark. Upon completion of the course, you shall be issued with a Diploma Certificate and a course transcript.

  Examination Certificate and Transcripts will be sent after successful completion of the course.
