DIPLOMA COURSE IN HUMANITARIAN NURSING

Conflicts and natural disasters have a direct effect on the health status. Delivering nursing and general health services in a humanitarian setting is a complex procedure that calls for specialised knowledge and mental readiness. Although nursing knowledge is acknowledged to be a crucial competence, it is insufficient to engage in humanitarian work. The success of humanitarian work is influenced by preparation, knowledge of the afflicted group, and cultural awareness.

This course’s goal is to prepare nurses and other health professionals for humanitarian service. The ability to manage concerns and issues that arise in complicated humanitarian contexts with reference to the delivery of health services will be developed in learners.

In order to practise humanitarian nursing, learners will have a thorough awareness of humanitarian concepts, values, and ethical concerns. Additionally, a humanitarian initiative will be discussed.
