DIPLOMA IN CONFLICT MANAGEMENT
The vulnerability to both natural and man-made conflicts has increased as a result of changes in demographics, patterns of human settlement, land use decisions, and political and social policy dynamics. It only takes a few minutes to undo advancements that have been accomplished over many years, with a lot of money and work. If a tragedy is not properly handled, it can cause an organisation, a community, or even an entire nation to become dysfunctional.
Disaster risk management should be ingrained in corporate culture and structures due to the continuously escalating size of the effects of disasters caused by terrorism, urbanisation, industrialisation, and climate change. Conflicts cannot be completely prevented; in fact, they are likely to recur frequently in new forms, thus it is important to manage them skilfully in order to either gain from them or foster positive working relationships with partners and governments. Conflicts can result in either positive or negative outcomes, and how a situation is handled depends on what influences the outcome.
The course will help students change their negative reactions to conflict, such as confrontation, threats, rage, and unjust treatment, by providing them with realistic examples of how other conflict situations have been handled and encouraging them to relate to those situations. The course will prepare students on how to handle the media as a communication tool and other social arenas when conflict arises. The media is a powerful instrument when it comes to the reputation of any organisation.
This course examines conflict not just at work but also at home since if an employee has a domestic dispute, there is a probability that the person won’t provide their best job. The course will probably inspire employees in any firm to resolve conflicts more promptly and effectively to prevent them from developing into domestic or Netherlands crises. Domestic conflicts are almost inevitable. We at the Capacity Training Africa Institute want our students to view any disagreement as an opportunity to establish virtuous bonds, form fruitful alliances, promote communication, and invent fresh concepts, guidelines, and regulations.
